MicroDERLab team (member of DERLAB network) at Politehnica Bucharest (UPB) has a strong research background in measurement and instrumentation for power systems, and is actively involved in several European and national projects and networks. We are working on several projects fostering ICT solutions for power grid infrastructure to be deployed in the emerging grids. Key expertise is on real-time steady-state and dynamic grid simulation (Typhoon HIL). The infrastructure includes a Synchronized Measurement laboratory with 6 mobile PMU racks, 2 microPMUs (PSL), one PQube3 (100 frames/s) and several (50) unbundled smart meters (1 frame/s) and a datacenter.

Brno University of Technology: BUT is one of the front research institutions in the Czech Republic. It is involved in establishing long-term cooperation on project solving with national and foreign companies, including projects solved with government and European support, but also on projects based on bilateral agreements with distribution system operators (DSOs) and private subjects from industry. Department of Electrical Power Engineering at BUT has a unique know-how in the field of safety of electrical networks, novel concepts and strategies of power systems management and smart active distribution networks.
ICPE-CA Bucharest
The National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest is a public research
organization which develops applied research across the entire energy value chain from production up to efficient
consumption. ICPE-CA owns a unique testing facility in South-East Europe, providing certified tests on PV systems both in standard test conditions (laboratory) as well as on-site in real operating conditions and thus enabling diagnosis and repowering solutions for PV power plants.
